Position Purpose:

Referral Specialist coordinates, maintains, confirms and/or secures referrals, authorizations, or pre-certifications needed on physician/clinic services. Verifies the accuracy and completeness of admitting information on outpatient referrals and obtains authorizations when needed. Also maintains and keeps updated referral logs.
Specialty: Pulmonary and Sleep
Location : 5300 N Meadows Dr Building 2, Suite 3820, Grove City, OH 43123
Hours of office: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m

What You Will Do:

Welcome patients
Register patients
Schedules appointments, procedures, and testing as needed
Gather insurance, check demographics
Soft collections
Answering incoming calls
EPIC

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Experience: One to two years of medical office experience preferred
Experience answering multiline telephone system preferred
Basic computer skills required
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures preferred.
Knowledge of third party payers and pre-authorization requirements preferred
