Job Purpose:

The Payroll Reporting Analyst is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and analysis of payroll-related reports, dashboards, and data insights that support payroll operations, compliance, finance, human resources, and payroll leadership. This role serves as a key partner in ensuring payroll data accuracy, identifying trends and anomalies, supporting audits, and providing actionable reporting to drive operational excellence and informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines payroll knowledge, analytical expertise, and technical reporting capabilities to transform complex payroll data into meaningful business insights while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Your tasks:
Payroll Reporting & Analytics

Develop, maintain, and automate standard and ad hoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders.

Analyze payroll data and work with payroll leadership to identify trends, discrepancies, compliance risks, and operational improvement opportunities.

Create dashboards and visualizations using reporting and business intelligence tools.

Prepare recurring payroll metrics, and KPI’s.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll reporting requests.
Data Integrity & Validation

Conduct payroll data audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness in multiple payroll and HRIS systems.

Validate payroll employee data through reporting analysis, between multiple HR and Payroll Systems.

Investigate and resolve payroll data discrepancies in partnership with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams.

Monitor reporting controls and assists in implementing processes that improve data quality.
Compliance & Audit Support

Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation and reports.

Ensure payroll reporting complies with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.

Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee and payroll information.

Assist with year-end payroll reporting activities and regulatory filings.
Process Improvement & Automation

Identify opportunities and partner with payroll leadership to streamline payroll reporting processes through automation and technology solutions.

Partner with Payroll Operations, HRIS, Timekeeping, and Finance teams to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.

Participate in payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and reporting enhancements.

Document reporting processes, business requirements, and data definitions.
