Role Overview

This role is for people who want to work on Saturday and Sunday, possibly a Saturday to Tuesday Shift.

We’re hiring a Pharmacist in Columbus, Ohio to help us build something special.

This role is the clinical and operational backbone of everything we do. You'll oversee compounding operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert clinical guidance that directly impacts patient care and safety.

You'll be joining a team that moves fast, solves problems together, and takes pride in doing exceptional work. We're looking for someone who:

As one of the first pharmacists on the team, you'll help define the clinical standards, quality systems, and culture of our pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

Review and verify all compounded prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, safety, and compliance with applicable regulations before dispensing.
Provide clinical consultation to prescribers and patients regarding compounded formulations, including dosing, administration, side effects, and drug interactions.
Develop, review, and approve compounding formulas, master formulation records, and standard operating procedures.
Oversee and perform compounding of complex non-sterile medications (creams, ointments, suspensions, capsules, suppositories) when needed.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, USP <795> and USP <800> standards, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality assurance activities including beyond-use dating assignments, stability assessments, equipment calibration oversight, and environmental monitoring.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Manage inventory of active pharmaceutical ingredients and supplies, including procurement decisions and vendor relationships.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all pharmacy operations, including compounding records, quality control logs, and adverse event reports.
Handle patient consultations, answer clinical questions, and resolve issues related to prescriptions and therapy.
Participate in the development and scaling of operational systems, workflows, and quality programs as the company grows.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
Active Pharmacist license in good standing in Ohio.
Experience in compounding pharmacy operations strongly preferred.
Knowledge of USP compounding standards (<795>, <800>) and regulatory requirements.
Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Ability to work independently, make sound clinical judgments, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build systems and processes from the ground up.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity to operate compounding equipment and handle pharmaceutical materials.
