Ohio Steel Industries is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for safely operating a forklift, receiving incoming materials, preparing customer shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are packaged and loaded according to quality standards.

What You'll Do
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
- Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips
- Package products for shipment, including assembling cartons, lining containers, and preparing crates
- Inspect products, materials, and packaging for quality prior to shipment
- Assist with assembling boxes and finished products as needed
- Maintain organized inventory and a clean, safe warehouse environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Shift Schedule
The regularly scheduled hours are Monday though Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
This schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, and takes pride in producing quality work.
Qualified candidates should have:
- Previous warehouse and shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Minimum two years of forklift operating experience
- Ability to accurately read shipping documents and complete basic paperwork
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
