What do we do?

Our goal at American Pain Consortium is to support our clinics that help patients seeking relief from pain, numbness, and tingling sensations that are often related to neuropathic pain or neuropathy, among many other forms of chronic pain. Even patients who have tried other pain treatments without success often benefit significantly from safe, effective treatment at American Pain Consortium. Our clinical multidisciplinary approach to care delivers the correct intervention to every patient, every time through various pain management procedures including injections, open surgical cases with general anesthesia, physical therapy, and psychological services. Our Providers focus on helping individuals improve functionality to restore a more meaningful lifestyle.

Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist will ensure instruments and supplies are set up and sterile along with providing to surgeons in the operation room. The Certified Surgical Technologist will also be responsible for documenting in patient charts to ensure complete accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

Setting up instruments and equipment required for the procedure
Sterilizing equipment and taking inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
Preparing the patient for surgery
Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile throughout the operation
Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
Appropriately documenting in patient charts
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (What We Are Looking For)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.
1 year of perioperative or PACU experience preferred

Physical Requirements
