We’re hiring an Assistant Teacher to work in our Christ Child Early Learning Center.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in the daily planning, implementation, and monitoring of classroom activities in compliance with the Early Learning Center’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
What You’ll Do:

Assist the Lead Teacher in planning, implementing, and monitoring daily classroom activities, in compliance with the Child Care Center’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Tailor daily and regular activities and differentiating instruction to accommodate and meet the needs, limitations, special talents and interests, and racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Create and foster a nurturing classroom culture.

Tailor daily and regular activities and differentiating instruction to accommodate and meet the needs and development levels of each child, to include individual learning styles.

Nurture and care for each child with dignity and respect.
-
Promote good nutritional habits through lessons, activities, and meal engagement such as eating lunch with children experiencing and exposing them to diverse and healthy food items.

Serve meals in accordance with all USDA and CACFP standards.
- Maintain consistently efficient, courteous, and quality service, be it over the counter, written, or verbal.

Build and maintain strong relationships and rapport with the children and their families.

Create and maintain a positive impression for incoming and current clients.

Foster strong, professional, working relationships with all parents.

Collaborate with Child Care Center staff to ensure the daily operation of the Child Care Center.

Maintain respectful and effective communication with Child Care Center staff, SSCH staff, and members of the Christ Child Society.

Maintain the confidentiality of all children and their families in compliance with Child Care Center policies and procedures.

Immediate reporting and documentation of any child or classroom concerns/issues to the Child Care Coordinator and/or a member of the agency leadership team in a high decision-making role.

Ensure that all materials and equipment are accessible and are maintained in clean and good condition.

Share in the housekeeping duties of the classroom and other Child Care Center facilities.

Maintain Child Care licensure in compliance with State of Ohio requirements.

Participate in continuing educational activities that contribute to skill development and expertise in providing services to children and their families.

Attend and maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Neglect, Communicable Disease, and other trainings, as required.

Facilitate and participate in staff development activities and training experiences, to include assisting with on-site training of new program staff.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor degree preferred)

1-2 years of experience working with children and/or youth in a NAEYC environment
-
1-2 years of experience in a customer/public service setting
-
1-2 years of specific training or skills in First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease Certifications
