Full Job Description

PAWS Veterinary Urgent care is a privately owned hospital located in central Columbus. We are looking to bridge the gap between general practice and ER, offering extended hours and weekends (10am-10pm). We are looking to staff our hospital with compassionate, efficient, and progressive individuals who share a passion for helping animals and their owners. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and efficient care to animals in an urgent care setting
Assist veterinarian in medical examinations, diagnostics, treatments
Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records
Comfort communicating with pet owners, and providing updates on their animal's condition
Confidence performing laboratory procedures including blood tests, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging
Confidence with technical skills to obtain blood, place catheters, and administer treatments
Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and restraining animals
Willingess to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and limited holidays

CVT, RVT, LVT - Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program is required.

Previous experience in an ER/Urgent Care setting preferred but not required.
