Pay:
Oberson's, a Visterra Landscape Group Partner Company, offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity. This position will be eligible for our sales commission plan.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Oberson's, a Visterra Landscape Group Parter Company, is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Territory Sales Manager to expand market presence across the Columbus Region. This is a high-visibility role for a tenacious sales professional with sales expertise, a strategic mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, field-focused environment and has a proven track record of cultivating client relationships, closing large-scale contracts, and driving top-line growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own territory performance by developing and executing targeted sales strategies that drive new business, revenue growth, and market expansion.

Build a strong pipeline by prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities with property managers, developers, HOAs, municipalities, institutions, and other commercial clients.

Approach goals with a competitive, results-driven mindset while demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and the ability to respond positively to setbacks.

Develop and present customized proposals that communicate clear value, demonstrate ROI, and showcase Visterra’s landscape service capabilities.

Serve as the primary client liaison, building long-term relationships through trust, responsiveness, consistent follow-through, and measurable results.

Conduct regular site visits to identify client needs, uncover enhancement and cross-selling opportunities, and support exceptional service delivery.

Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and follow-up schedules to ensure accountability and consistent execution.

Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and unmet client needs to identify new opportunities and strengthen regional sales strategies.

Represent Oberson's and the Visterra Landscape Group Partner companies at networking events, industry conferences, trade shows, and community functions to increase visibility and generate leads.

Collaborate closely with operations, estimating, and account management teams to ensure smooth handoffs, successful project execution, and client satisfaction.

Contribute regional insights during sales-planning sessions and support broader organizational growth strategies.

Demonstrate a team-first mentality by communicating effectively, supporting shared goals, accepting coaching, and helping colleagues perform at a high level
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of successful B2B sales, business development, or account growth experience; experience in commercial landscaping, property services, facilities management, construction, or a related industry is preferred but not required.

Proven ability to prospect, build a pipeline, develop client relationships, and close new business.

Competitive, goal-oriented, and money-motivated, with a hunter mentality and a “no stone unturned” approach to identifying opportunities.

Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to overcome objections, respond to setbacks, and remain focused on results.

Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

Outgoing, personable, and persuasive, with the confidence to build relationships with decision-makers across different industries.

Comfortable learning technical service offerings and translating client needs into practical, value-driven solutions.

Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based sales role while maintaining a team-first mentality.

Coachable, accountable, and disciplined, with strong follow-through and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Willing to challenge existing approaches and collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that better serve clients.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

An established local network in commercial property or facilities management is preferred.

Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is preferred.

Knowledge of landscape maintenance, enhancements, and snow removal is preferred.

Familiarity with Aspire or a similar field-service platform is preferred.

Professional certifications such as CLT or ISA are a plus.
