Full Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Catering Sales Associate drives new business development, nurtures client relationships, manages event contracts, and ensures a seamless customer experience from first contact through the final event.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively pursue new catering clients.
Conduct in-person visits, presentations, follow-up meetings, and outreach events to grow LA Caterings' client base.
Build strong relationships with event coordinators and wedding planners to help develop sales for onsite Event Center.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

Associate degree in Business, Hospitality, Food Service, or a related field strongly preferred; long-term sales experience in a related field will be considered.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering, food service sales, event planning, or related customer service roles.
Proven track record of successfully developing new business and maintaining client relationships.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to perform manual tasks, including event setup, teardown, and lifting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and industry professionals.
Demonstrated ability to conduct in-person visits, presentations, follow-up meetings, and outreach events.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
