We are looking for an outgoing, self-motivated individual to join a Japanese World Class Body shop Builder. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to handle multi-tasks/situations. Have the flexibility to work overtime when necessary, and complete other assigned duties.
Duties:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG and TIG (we are 90% MIG welding shop)
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process
- Operate machinery and equipment including horizontal and vertical bandsaws, Ironworker and various hand tools (drills, saws, grinders)
-Willing to learn or have manual mill experience
- Fabricate metal structures or components based on project requirements
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry codes and standards
- Use of forklifts and rigging equipment to move materials and finished products
Requirements:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience as a welder with a strong background in welding techniques; MIG, TIG, Manual Mill, and Fabrication
- Ability to manipulate distorted parts to normality
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings and complete tack weld
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards
- Ability to operate various machinery and equipment related to welding processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during the welding process
- Use of forklifts and rigging equipment to move materials and finished products

_ Physical Requirements:_
- Frequently moves/lifts material up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to remain in a standing position 50% of the time
- Needs to frequently move between the Fabrication and Machining area
- Operate machinery safely as needed
- Frequent kneeling, bending and crouching
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
