Candidates that will succeed in this position will be independent, extremely patient, and very gentle individuals with strong time management, ability to multitask, and prioritization skills. Each candidate should feel that they thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and constantly fluctuating work environment!

Camp Bow Wow® - Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp Basics
- Age Restriction: for this round, 16+ years old only!!
- Physical Demand Level: HIGH
- Wages: starting pay is $11 (+ tips) / per hour (or commensurate with experience after training).
After the training period is completed, wages may be negotiated with Management based upon performance evaluation.
- Shift Flexibility / Needs: 20-25 hours/week at minimum, 30-35 hours is ideal!
Shifts currently available are 6:30am to 1:30pm and/or 12pm/1:30pm to 7pm. *some availability for middle shift 12-4/5pm*
Candidates must be able to work at least one weekend day ((Saturday or Sunday)).
We're open 365 days a year to care for the Campers and the Holidays tend to be some of the busiest times of the year for Camp. Employees are given time off based on first-come, first-serve requests & all employees working Holidays are paid time and a half!
Shoes - Must have closed toes and heels. Non-slip shoes are highly recommended.
Top layers - Red shirt is required for employees - different colored layers are okay underneath but red must always remain your top or majority layer!
Pants - No rips/holes and no mesh/lace. Pants also must be appropriate length at all times.
*A Camp-branded t-shirt will be given to employees who complete and pass their trial period*

No experience necessary, although some experience with animals other than having your own pets is preferred!
Camp Counselors will do more than just pet and play with puppies - you'll be supervising, engaging with, and positively conditioning groups of 20-25 dogs, varying in size, breed, and play style! This position includes a lot of cleaning, moving, and independence!
We work as hard as we play and you can expect to go home tired, covered in dog kisses & hair, but also while feeling super fulfilled. We love what we do & the dogs we work with even more!!
Primary Responsibilities
· Learn and assess dog body language, then prevent and react to any scenarios as needed
· Continuously evaluating dog behaviors and their interactions in real time while handling based off of necessity (to prevent fights and injuries, encourage good play, enforce the dogs' corrections, etc)
· Observe Campers' behaviors and energy levels in order to appropriately assign them to the proper play yards (which will require distinguishing between dog vocalizations, including distress barks, play, greetings, aggression, etc.)
· Perform canine health checks throughout the shift
· Entertaining and positively conditioning Campers in our indoor + outdoor play yards
· Cleaning and maintaining tidiness in play yards and all other common spaces- includes mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing.
· Tend to janitorial duties such as restocking supplies, regular deep cleaning, and refreshing trash/poop cans, etc
· Communicate to peers effectively regarding Camper concerns, such as their behaviors, illness, incidents, etc
· Prep and provide meals to Campers while following their personalized directions and accommodating picky eaters per Camp’s feeding protocols
· Attend additional training as management deems necessary
