Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator specializing in Fabrication to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fabrication projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will drive project profitability and support our commitment to delivering exceptional construction solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize cutting-edge estimating software, and contribute to the successful execution of complex fabrication projects.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive construction estimates for fabrication projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Utilize industry-standard estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost control assessments to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to negotiate contracts and scope of work.
Assist in the review and management of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.
Support project management teams by providing accurate cost forecasts, risk assessments, and value engineering suggestions.
Maintain organized records of all estimating documentation, including bid proposals, change orders, and correspondence.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on fabrication or similar heavy industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction site operations, materials, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital markup and document management.
Experience with HeavyBid or comparable estimating software is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability in negotiation, cost control, and pricing strategies within the construction industry.

PAY: $58,000 - $ 83,200 annual salary, based upon experience
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Hands-on construction site experience that enhances understanding of project execution and challenges.

Background in construction management or related fields is advantageous for effective project coordination and contract administration.
