Proposed Salary Range: $63,715.43 - $82,830.05
Work Location: Onsite (No Hybrid or Remote) - Columbus, Georgia
The Process Engineer coordinates process improvement projects (quality, efficiency, safety, ergonomics, etc.) and cost reduction projects (defect reduction, labor savings, spare parts usage, etc.) and facilitates their implementation. Monitors spare parts usage for excessive wear. Maintains control of technical document system for process machinery. Coordinates with appropriate resources to implement improvements. Provides advice to departments regarding maintenance.
A Process Engineer should have the capability to read and interpret process information; and understand the impact their actions have on the quality objective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Major preferred); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be requested to directly supervise employees in the manufacturing and/or machinery department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with Oracle or equivalent MRP software.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor preferred
