Who We Are Looking For:

Join us as a Mechanical Design Engineer and play a key role in designing the mechanical systems that power next-generation robotic automation — driving efficiency, precision, and progress in modern manufacturing.

What You Get to Do:

Design and develop innovative robotic automation systems — from concept to completion — delivering projects on time and within budget.
Transform ideas into reality by evaluating technical feasibility, manufacturability, and cost, leveraging your expertise in complex mechanical components, assemblies, and robotics.
Own the mechanical design of robotic cells, including detailed component design and overall system layout.
Collaborate cross-functionally to create accurate proposals and quotations that align with performance goals and profitability targets.
Drive project success through leadership in design reviews, project kickoffs, and progress meetings — keeping schedules and quality on track.
Champion safety and excellence, ensuring a safe, efficient, and innovative work environment.

Job Requirements:

Ability to commute to Shelbyville, IN location 5 days per week
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Applied Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
5+ years of mechanical design experience in robotics, automation, or related industries — skilled in designing complex systems and integrating diverse equipment.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 2D/3D CAD platforms used for precision mechanical design.
Hands-on manufacturing knowledge with machine tool load/unload systems, work holding, and fixturing — plus a passion for continuous learning and industry involvement.
Strong technical communication skills — able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation, and produce clear reports and correspondence.
Solid math and analytical ability, including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical concepts applied to real-world engineering challenges.
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze data, define issues, and develop effective solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, and MRP/ERP systems, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and technical experts.
Valid driver’s license required; travel up to 25%.
