Help Build Michigan's Premier Medical Eye Spa

Are you passionate about advanced aesthetics, innovative technology, and delivering exceptional patient care? Are you looking for more than a traditional spa position—one where you can grow professionally, learn specialized techniques, and help build something truly unique?

Dry Eye Healing Institute is seeking a Licensed Medical Aesthetician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Dr. Jennifer Shaba, board-certified optometrist, consultant, speaker, and founder of Michigan's premier dry eye specialty center.

Our boutique, state-of-the-art practice is expanding into a Medical Eye Spa, combining advanced ocular surface treatments with aesthetic facial procedures in a luxury, patient-centered environment.

This position begins as part-time (approximately 20–24 hours per week) with the opportunity to transition into a full-time career as our services continue to expand.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate is comfortable with—or excited to become highly skilled in—advanced technology-based treatments, including:

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments for the face and delicate periocular (around-the-eye) area using appropriate ocular safety protocols
Radiofrequency (RF) facial and eyelid rejuvenation procedures
Therapeutic eyelid treatments
Meibomian gland expression
Lash and lid hygiene procedures
Medical photography and treatment documentation
Patient education before and after treatments
Assisting with the introduction of new aesthetic technologies and services

Experience with ocular surface procedures is not required. Dr. Jennifer Shaba will personally train the right candidate in our specialized treatment techniques and protocols.

As our Medical Eye Spa grows, the right candidate will have the opportunity to perform and help develop services such as:

Advanced IPL skin rejuvenation
Photofacial treatments
Hydrafacial treatments
Medical-grade skincare treatments
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) services, including assisting with our innovative in-house PRP eye drop program
New aesthetic technologies as they are introduced

Qualifications

Current Michigan Esthetician License
Medical aesthetics experience preferred
Experience with IPL and/or radiofrequency technologies is highly desirable
Comfortable working around the delicate eye area or eager to receive advanced training
Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Strong work ethic with a desire for continued education and professional growth
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
