Full Job Description

Clinical Director, Behavioral Supports (LICSW Required)

Community Integrated Services (CIS) is seeking a Clinical Director to lead our Behavioral Supports Department and help advance high-quality, person-centered services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Hampshire.

This is more than a supervisory position. As Clinical Director, you will have the opportunity to shape clinical practice, establish quality standards, mentor clinicians, and influence the future direction of our services. You'll supervise a team of dedicated Clinicians while maintaining a meaningful connection to the clinical work that drives positive outcomes for the people we support.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

Provide clinical and administrative supervision to a team of three Clinicians
Conduct regular supervision, case consultation, coaching, and performance management
Support professional development and ongoing competency growth
Foster a collaborative, ethical, and person-centered clinical culture

Clinical Quality & Compliance

Review and approve all behavior support plans prior to submission
Ensure plans are evidence-based, individualized, and practical for implementation by support teams and families
Establish department-wide clinical standards and quality assurance processes
Conduct audits and reviews to ensure documentation quality, consistency, and compliance

Department Operations

Develop and oversee clinical onboarding and training processes
Establish caseload expectations, service intensity standards, and workload distribution
Monitor service delivery to ensure timely initiation and utilization of authorized services
Partner with agency leadership on staffing, utilization, reporting, and program development

Direct Clinical Services

Maintain a limited clinical caseload as needed to support departmental capacity and service delivery

Qualifications

Required

Master's degree in Social Work or related clinical field
Active New Hampshire LICSW license (or equivalent independent clinical license)
Candidates licensed at a higher independent clinical level, such as a Licensed Psychologist, are encouraged to apply
Significant post-licensure clinical experience
Experience writing, reviewing, and/or supervising behavior support plans
Previous supervisory, management, or clinical leadership experience
Ability to provide clinical supervision and professional development to clinicians with varying levels of experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Knowledge of New Hampshire He-M regulations, BDS service requirements, credentialing standards, and Medicaid documentation
Experience with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and Functional Behavior Assessment
Experience building, improving, or leading clinical operations within a small or growing organization
