Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication tasks, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to contribute to innovative construction and manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes & standards.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances in fabrication projects.
Operate fabrication shop equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, piping systems, and other metal assemblies for construction or manufacturing purposes.
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while working on construction sites or in the shop environment; utilize rigging, scaffolding, and forklift equipment as needed.
Collaborate with team members to interpret technical schematics and schematics for mechanical fabrication projects; assist in assembly tasks when required.
Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work with calipers, micrometers, and measuring instruments; document inspection results accurately.

Qualifications

Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of metal materials and fabrication processes.
Skilled in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding; certification from AWS preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints confidently.
Familiarity with using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math skills, and schematic reading for precise fabrication work.
Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, sheet metal work, and assembly procedures.
Experience operating power tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and saws safely in compliance with safety protocols.
Knowledge of construction site safety practices including rigging procedures and forklift operation; OSHA or equivalent certification is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments while adhering to strict deadlines.
