Position: Automotive Finance Manager (F&I Manager)

Position Summary
The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for completing the financial portion of each vehicle transaction while providing customers with a professional, transparent, and efficient purchasing experience. This position works closely with customers, sales staff, management, lenders, and dealership accounting to secure financing, present finance and protection products, complete required documentation, and ensure every transaction meets dealership, lender, and legal requirements.
The Finance Manager plays a key role in dealership profitability while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, compliance, and ethical business practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to review and complete the financial portion of their vehicle purchase.
- Obtain and accurately process credit applications and required customer information.
- Submit finance applications to appropriate lenders and work to secure competitive approvals and terms.
- Structure deals based on customer needs, lender guidelines, and dealership objectives.
- Clearly explain financing options, interest rates, terms, payments, and required documentation.
- Present available F&I products, including Vehicle Service Contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, tire and wheel protection, appearance protection, and other dealership-approved products.
- Ensure all products and financing options are presented consistently, professionally, and without pressure.
- Prepare and review retail installment contracts, lease agreements, buyer's orders, odometer statements, title documents, and other required paperwork.
- Verify that all documents are accurate, complete, properly signed, and ready for funding.
- Maintain strong working relationships with banks, credit unions, manufacturer lenders, and other financial institutions.
- Monitor contracts in transit and promptly resolve funding delays or lender issues.
- Work closely with the sales team and management to maximize opportunities while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Protect customer information and follow all dealership privacy and information-security procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and dealership policies.
- Assist in training sales employees on finance procedures, documentation requirements, and proper deal preparation.
- Track individual performance, including finance income, product penetration, profit per retail unit, funding time, and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer questions or concerns regarding financing and protection products professionally and promptly.
- Maintain organized and accurate records for all completed transactions.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive F&I, sales management, or dealership finance experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive lending and dealership deal structures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working with dealership management systems and lender platforms.
- Ability to balance dealership profitability with customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet dealership employment requirements.
Performance Expectations
The Finance Manager will be expected to consistently achieve dealership goals related to F&I gross profit, product penetration, finance penetration, contract funding, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Performance should be achieved through professional product presentations, strong lender relationships, accurate documentation, and an ethical, customer-focused approach.

Pay: $15,000.00 - $25,000.00 per month
