Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Grants Manager to lead our grants and procurement initiatives within the public sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the full lifecycle of grant management, from proposal development to compliance monitoring, ensuring that all financial and contractual activities align with federal, state, and organizational regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement regulations to drive impactful grant projects and foster strong vendor relationships. Join us to make a meaningful difference by managing complex contracts, optimizing procurement processes, and supporting innovative programs through effective financial stewardship.

Duties

Ensure compliance with procurement regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law, CFR 200, Louisiana Bid Law and government contracting standards across all procurement activities.
Review contractual documents, memoranda of understanding, and legal agreements with vendors and partners to safeguard organizational interests.
Maintain meticulous records of procurement activities, contract modifications, amendments, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Conduct negotiations with vendors and stakeholders to secure favorable terms while ensuring adherence to public sector purchasing policies.
Monitor project progress and adherence to all applicable laws; prepare detailed reports for internal review and external audits.
Stay current on procurement regulatory updates including changes in federal or state laws affecting grants and contracts; implement necessary adjustments proactively.
Efficiency with local procurement laws and administration of such.

Experience

Proven experience in government contract management or public sector purchasing with a strong understanding of procurement regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated success in managing complex grants from proposal development through compliance monitoring.
Extensive vendor management experience including negotiation, contractor oversight, and performance evaluation.
Strong records management skills.
Ability to navigate federal, state and local regulations s
Experience working within the public sector environment with a focus on strategic planning and business development initiatives related to grants or procurement activities.
