About Perry Insurance Group

Perry Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency serving South Carolina, with offices in North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, and Columbia (Midlands) -- and we're growing. As we add locations, we're looking for a bookkeeper who can help build a stronger financial foundation under the agency and grow into a bigger role as we scale.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting across all agency locations. This is a hands-on role today, but it's built to grow -- as we open new offices, we want someone who's excited to take on more ownership of the accounting function over time, including helping build and eventually lead a small accounting team.

What You'll Do

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable across all office locations

Process payroll accurately and on time

Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations

Own month-end close and prepare financial reports for agency leadership

Maintain clean, accurate books in QuickBooks

Partner with leadership on budgeting and cash-flow visibility as the agency expands

Help design stronger accounting processes as the agency adds new offices

What You Bring

5+ years of bookkeeping experience

Proficiency in QuickBooks

Strong hands-on experience with AR/AP, bank reconciliation, and month-end close

Comfort producing clear, accurate financial reports

High degree of accuracy and discretion handling sensitive financial data

Experience in insurance or another detail-heavy, regulated industry is a plus
