Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and organizing materials to ensure smooth workflow. Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by handing tools, holding materials, and performing basic tasks as directed. Help with the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage. Follow all safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety guidelines, and reporting hazards immediately. Perform general site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment throughout each phase of construction. Operate basic tools and machinery under supervision, including shovels, wheelbarrows, hand saws, and power tools as trained. Assist with site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required. Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions carefully and take direction from supervisors. Willingness to learn new skills on the job and adapt to changing project needs. Reliable transportation to get to job sites regularly. Basic understanding of construction safety practices; certifications such as OSHA training are advantageous but not mandatory.
