For more than 80 years, our surgeons have set the standard for excellence, delivering world-class general, vascular, and specialty surgical care to communities across the greater Charlotte region. Our team of 25+ surgeons and 80+ professionals work together to deliver compassionate, innovative care across seven locations.

Your Role:
As a Clinical Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our patient care team, supporting our Trauma and Emergency General Surgery providers, performing hands-on patient care, and ensuring every patient receives the attention and expertise they deserve. You’ll thrive in a dynamic clinic, balancing clinical responsibilities with patient care coordination and administrative support.

What You’ll Do:
· Coordinate care between inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure seamless patient transitions
· Assist surgeons during clinic visits, minor procedures, and perform wound care / suture and staple removal
· Educate patients prior to minor procedures using booklets and instruction sheets, in accordance with physician guidance
· Manage patient communications, prescription refill requests, radiology scheduling, and handle FMLA/disability paperwork
· Orchestrate administrative duties such as ordering supplies, stocking rooms, responding to patient messages, filing documents, and monitoring work queues in the EHR system
· Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care

Experience / Education / Licensure Needed:
· Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license and 2+ years’ clinical experience required
· Emergency / General Surgical experience preferred, with clinical skill competency in office procedures, sterile technique and wound care strongly preferred.
· Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and communication skills
· EMR experience (NextGen preferred)
