Position: Quality Control Inspector 1st Shift (Aerospace)

Upland Fab has been a family-owned business for three generations machining plastics for over 50 years. With extensive experience fabricating complex plastic and composite part, Upland Fab utilizes advanced CNC technologies to meet our customer’s requirements. Over the years, Upland Fab has earned a reputation for quality and reliability in the manufacturing of complex plastics parts and assemblies. Our products are used in applications as diverse and demanding as aerospace, medical, electronics and commercial. This position is subject to ITAR requirements which require incumbents to be a U.S. Person (Citizen, lawful permanent resident, a protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(3))

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday

06:00am – 04:30pm

Flexibility to work overtime required

Quality Inspector Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.

· Ability to read and interpret specifications

· Ability to interpret CMM reports

· AS9100 Quality Management System knowledge

· Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other hand inspection instruments

· Shop math skills

· Organized, dependable, detailed, and self-motivated

· 3 years inspecting experience in precision manufacturing environment (Preferred)

· CMM and PCMM experience is a plus

· 3D Scanner experience is a plus

· CAD experience is a plus

· CMM Manager Software experience is a plus

· Verisurf Software experience is a plus

· Speak and write clear English

Quality Inspector Duties:

· Inspect parts visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality specifications and customer requirements

· Document dimensional and visual inspection findings on AS9102 FAIR

· Verify incoming product for conformance to company and customer requirement’s

· Perform in-process and final inspections

· Verify documentation and packaging conform to customer requirements

· Input data into internal inspection software (AS9102 compliant)

Perform receiving inspections of incoming materials and components to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and purchase order requirements.

· Responsible for working off a priority list in ERP software

· Document and report non-conformances

· Inspect parts using CMM, PCMM and 3D Scanner running CMM Manager and Verisurf Software.

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
