Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Duties

Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS practices, emergency response procedures, and hazard recognition.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare reports on EHS performance metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives for management review.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety.

· Create and manage a Safety Committee comprised of various areas and levels of the organization.

Experience

A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in environmental health and safety management or a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential hazards and implementing effective solutions.
Certification in safety management is a plus, but not required.
