Full Job Description

In between jobs? Looking for some extra cash? We're seeking an extra set of hands to serve as a stand-in Sous Chef for a 8 week gig in Corvallis, OR. ~ 45 hours/wk, no late nights or weekends, M-F. Must have knife skills, prep skills, attention to detail, the ability to follow direction, and a great attitude. This is a great kitchen with a very cool vibe. We make food from scratch and have a different menu at every meal. There is opportunity for long term employment with us if you enjoy it and earn it!

What You’ll Do

Support the Executive Chef in daily operations, prep, and service
Manage the proper closing of the kitchen around 7pm.
Assist the Chef in leading the kitchen with a calm, positive energy
Help shape menus, drive culinary innovation, and maintain high food standards
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficiency behind the scenes
Be a mentor, motivator, and a key part of our growing team

You Are

Reliable & Dependable. This is a key position with oversight responsibilities
A strong cook with 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience
Passionate about food, quality, and teamwork
Organized, level-headed, and solution-oriented
Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen—but big on balance
Someone who thrives in a respectful, inclusive, and fun environment

This temporary position is offered at a rate of $850 per week. Longer term employment with us offers with including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, paid time off for most holidays, a 401(k) plan, and work-life balance. If you're a Sous Chef or skilled production cook with a great attitude, hustle, heart, and a creative edge—we want to meet you. This position starts immediately and runs through 6/12/26. A completion bonus of one week's pay will be awarded upon successful completion of the job with zero attendance infractions.
