JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Curing Operator-LI

Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Essential Responsibility:

This position is responsible for operating machines that fabricate parts. This position also possesses knowledge of various manufacturing machines, process operations and product I.D.

List of Key Tasks / Primary Responsibilities:

Reviews Specifications by reading process standards to determine machine adjustments and material requirements; by determining the accuracy of machine operations by measuring work piece dimensions; by observing machines and detecting work piece defects and machine malfunctions.

Operates Machines by meeting or exceeding daily production targets; by activating the machine through buttons; by completing all necessary documents in a clear and timely manner; by reporting any problems with machines to Management in a timely manner; and by performing any other functions to tend to machines.
Performs all quality checks during loading and unloading of cured products.
Performs Daily Mold Grind of assigned Curing Presses
Performs weight checks at preform machine and routinely cleans preform area to ensure quality.
Follows "Prohibited Action" lists
Follows all communication procedures for STOP-CALL-WAIT for any abnormal occurrence.
Correctly and accurately fills out 2s check sheets.
Performs all 5s tasks during the shift and at end of shift in preparation for hand off to next team.

Education / Certifications:

High School diploma or GED
Must have two years' experience in a manufacturing and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

: • Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time.

Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.

Additional Required Skills and Knowledge:• Upholds Standards of Quality, Cost, and Safety by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining quality, cost, and safety; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of quality, cost, and safety to the Supervisor or Management; by wearing proper PPE as established by the departmental mgt. and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary.

Contributes to the Team Effort by consistently achieving individual goals in order to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Company goals; by being flexible in work assignments; by covering for other Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested; by being open to feedback from peers, Supervisors, and Management; and by using the feedback to improve performance.

Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by attaining job-related certification as necessary; by seeking out job-related training in order to improve personal skills, as well as efficiency and knowledge in the workplace; and by applying that knowledge to the job.

Upholds Professionalism in the Workplace by maintaining professional conduct and appearance; by realizing one's own limitations and seeking assistance when needed; and by using established communication channels.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties;
A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field;
Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation;
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Experience / Qualification:

Language Skills

Ability to effectively respond to questions in English.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics, including minimum, maximum, average, and other principles.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.

Experience / Qualification:

Other Skills

Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
Able to understand & practice the basic manufacturing fundamentals of NAMI, including 3S check system, 5S, Control-By-Looking, poka-yoke, safety, Company Policy, and quality policy.
Must be skilled with the knowledge of many different manufacturing machines, process operations, and product I.D.
Must be able to identify possible safety problems and report accordingly.
Experience preferred in the operation of at least one machine in the following Grades: Grade 4, or Grade 5 or equivalent manufacturing experience.
