You will be working a fast-paced company. Crayex is a trusted name in custom manufacturing since 1972. We specialize in polyethylene shrink, non-shrink, and specialty films and bags. As a family-owned company, we value experience and expertise. We are currently seeking skilled operators to join our team in McDonough, Georgia.
As an operator, you'll play a pivotal role in our day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Operation of winder and execution of roll changes as specified on work orders. Pulling rolls of plastic off production lines.

Conducting precise quality checks on an hourly basis. Accurate measurement and recording of required data on production and quality control documents.

Labeling and packaging of finished product as specified on work orders. Move finished product for shipping.

Operation of material handling equipment: forklift, hand truck, hoist, etc. Training will be provided.

Prepare packaging supplies in advance for the following shift.

Set machines to order specifications, make adjustments, and keep machinery producing at expected quality standards.

Keep a constant check of the products being produced and the machines are operating according to our quality standards.

Assist group lead as necessary on start-up, adjustments, order changes, etc. (Must be able to climb stairs to perform machine adjustments).

Assist other operators with measurements, roll changes, packaging, etc., utilizing team approach.

Participate in required training as an operator learning aspects of extrusion line operations required for progression, while completing assigned duties.

Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment and work area.

Fully support, endorse and follow the guidelines of the HACCP & Food Safety Programs.
Other responsibilities as required.

Requirements
OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for dependable long-term employees who have a reliable job history. Pre-employment drug and background screenings are required.

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to read and interpret documents.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, micrometers, etc.
-
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
-
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12-hour shift.
-
Lift and maneuver rolls of plastic film weighing in excess of 75 pounds.

Ability to climb stairs.

Compensation:

Starting wage of $20.00 per hour for operators with no experience. Starting wage may vary based on skills and experience.

Night shift differential $1.50 per hour.

Paid weekly.

Performance-based reviews and increases every three (3) months in the first year and then annually on the anniversary date.

Opportunities for hourly wage increases based on performance and upward career progression.

Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half.

Attendance Bonus: Paid out every quarter & original bonus is doubled for perfect attendance. Bonus is based on the hours you work, placing you in control of the paid-out amount each quarter.
Shift Schedule:

Current shift schedule is Monday - Friday

8.5 hour shifts (2nd Shift 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and 3rd Shift 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
