Full Job Description

Pontchartrain Dental & Implant Center is looking for a Front Desk / Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team! We are a doctor-owned, non-corporate dental practice that truly values patient care, teamwork, and work-life balance. Our office is located in a brand-new, beautiful facility, and we pride ourselves on having an incredible, supportive team atmosphere.

We are a PPO and cash-only practice (no Medicaid), allowing us to focus on quality care and meaningful patient relationships—without the pressure of corporate dentistry.

What You’ll Do

Greet patients and check them in with professionalism and warmth
Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling and questions
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
Enter and maintain insurance benefits in OpenDental
Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims
Check patients out and review treatment and insurance information
Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow

What We’re Looking For

1–2 years of experience in a dental office (required)
Experience with insurance verification and claims submission
Familiarity with OpenDental (preferred)
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Warm, professional, and patient-focused demeanor
Strong communication and multitasking skills

Office Hours / Schedule

Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (open every other Friday)
