Full Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role for the upcoming school year. This opportunity involves working with K-5th grade students as a Mild/Moderate Resource Teacher, as well as providing instruction for K-12th grade students with moderate to severe needs. Your expertise will help create empowering learning experiences and foster the growth and confidence of your students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one
Experience working with K-12 students with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities
Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver specialized instruction for K-5th (mild/moderate) and K-12th (moderate/severe) students
Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
Advocate for students’ educational, behavioral, and social needs
Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
Participate in relevant staff meetings and professional development opportunities
