We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join the Harvest Health & Rehab team and serve as a key operational partner in creating an exceptional employee experience, from a candidate’s first interaction with our organization through onboarding and throughout their employment.
In this role, you will coordinate and support a broad range of Human Resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, employee records, compliance, employee engagement, and HR process improvement. You will serve as an important link between employees and organizational leadership, ensuring HR operations are completed accurately, consistently, and on time while providing dependable support throughout the employee lifecycle.
Your ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and build positive relationships will help us attract and retain great employees, maintain compliance, strengthen employee engagement, and support the continued growth of our organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration & Employee Support
- Maintain accurate, complete, and secure employee records, including personnel files, HRIS information, employment documentation, policy acknowledgements, PTO updates, and status changes.
- Ensure confidential HR records remain organized, current, and audit-ready.
- Serve as a reliable resource for employees by responding professionally and promptly to questions regarding company policies, handbook guidelines, benefits, and HR processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate the recruiting process from application through onboarding.
- Review resumes and screen applicants to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct preliminary phone interviews and administer Culture Index assessments.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring leaders.
- Complete reference checks, background screenings, and pre-employment requirements.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation.
- Maintain organized communication and follow-up throughout the candidate experience.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate a consistent and engaging onboarding experience for every new employee.
- Prepare orientation schedules, onboarding checklists, new hire materials, technology requests, and employee resources.
- Ensure onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, birthday and anniversary celebrations, and new hire welcome experiences.
- Administer stay interviews and annual employee engagement surveys.
- Compile employee feedback and provide meaningful summaries and insights to leadership.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate payroll preparation by reviewing timecards, PTO requests, employment changes, and benefit deductions for accuracy.
- Prepare and audit payroll information before submission to Accounting for processing.
- Administer employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment activities.
- Assist employees with benefit questions and coordinate required benefit documentation.
Compliance & Employee Relations Support
- Maintain the Human Resources compliance calendar and ensure required employment deadlines are met.
- Maintain current employment documentation and required records.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation documentation and related administrative requirements.
- Prepare corrective action documentation and maintain confidential employee records.
- Gather documentation and information related to employee concerns or investigations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Support managers with Human Resources processes and documentation while recognizing that employee coaching, disciplinary meetings, compensation decisions, and termination decisions remain the responsibility of organizational leadership.
HR Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain HR standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, workflows, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, compliance, and the overall employee experience.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.
- Build scalable HR systems and processes that support organizational growth and reduce administrative burden.
- Support HR-related projects and initiatives that contribute to employee development, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Previous experience in Human Resources, HR administration, recruiting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fundamental HR practices, employment documentation, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Experience with HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships throughout the organization.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
