Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our optometrists in delivering high-quality eye care services. As an Optometric Technician, you will assist with various clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the practice.

Duties

Perform preliminary eye exams and assist with diagnostic testing, including visual acuity tests, and retinal imaging.
Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed eyewear or contact lenses.
Assist in the fitting and dispensing of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient flow and address any concerns during examinations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and equipment to uphold a professional environment.

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology related to optometry and eye care practices.
Proficiency in patient care techniques, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly to patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated in individual tasks.
