Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Entry-Level Quality Control Technician to join our team in a fast‑paced PCB (Printed Circuit Board) contract manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are technically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to supporting high‑quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform visual inspection of printed circuit boards using microscopes, magnifiers, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.
Verify compliance with IPC standards, work instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.
Inspect solder joints, component placement, polarity, labeling, and overall assembly quality.
Document inspection results, nonconformances, and rework requirements accurately and clearly.
Assist in incoming inspection of raw materials, components, and PCBs as needed.
Support final inspection and functional checks prior to shipment.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to communicate defects and process issues.
Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.
Follow established procedures for handling ESD‑sensitive components and materials.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects.
Basic understanding of electronics or mechanical inspection principles (training provided).
Ability to read and understand work instructions, quality standards, and simple technical drawings.
Comfortable working with microscopes and inspection tools.
Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions or raise concerns.
Ability to work in a team‑oriented, quality‑driven environment.

Preferred:

Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 standards.
Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or quality control.
Basic understanding of through hole soldering, or SMT soldering processes.
Experience with X‑ray inspection machines

Physical Requirements:

Frequently sitting, walking, standing, and bending.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
Manual dexterity for handling small electronic components and tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on experience.
