Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pizza Cook/Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team! In this versatile role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious pizza dishes, executing high-quality food production, and supporting the kitchen’s overall operations. Your enthusiasm for culinary excellence, combined with your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, will help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and grow within a vibrant restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and other menu items according to established recipes and standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
Assist with menu planning, ingredient prep, and portion control to support consistent food quality
Support food handling and food production processes, including braising, poaching, grilling, and meal assembly
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during high-volume periods
Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines, portion sizes, and presentation standards to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume kitchens
Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation
Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in commercial kitchens
Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
