Territory Sales Representative – Texas

Location: Texas (Remote with Territory Travel)
Reports To: Director of Sales

Position Overview

McCanles HR Consulting Services is leading the recruitment effort on behalf of a confidential client seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to drive new business growth throughout Texas.

This is a true business development and sales role focused on identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and converting prospects into long-term customers. The Territory Sales Representative will own the sales process from initial outreach and relationship development through negotiation and contract execution.

Once a new customer is secured, the account transitions to the appropriate internal team for ongoing support, allowing you to stay focused on what you do best—building relationships, closing new business, and growing your territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Do

Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout Texas.
Actively pursue assigned leads and generate additional opportunities through networking, referrals, and outbound outreach.
Build relationships with business owners, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers.
Conduct sales presentations and communicate products, services, and value proposition.
Prepare proposals, quotations, and pricing recommendations.
Negotiate terms and successfully close new business opportunities.
Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and sales opportunities.
Accurately document activities and opportunities within the CRM system.
Travel throughout Texas to meet with prospective customers and develop business relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of newly acquired customers.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, outside sales, or territory sales.
Proven ability to generate new business and close sales opportunities.
Strong prospecting, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in industrial sales, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, logistics, recycling, metals, or commodity trading.
Existing network of business contacts within Texas
Experience selling to commercial or industrial customers.

Compensation Overview

Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000
Variable Compensation: $15,000–$40,000+
Target OTE: $90,000–$120,000+
Additional earning potential for high performers

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: Remote
