Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality food output, and adherence to safety standards.
Oversee inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
Lead menu planning efforts, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining consistency with established culinary standards.
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
Enforce strict food safety protocols and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas.
Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and support overall restaurant management activities to ensure smooth daily operations.

Skills

Extensive experience in food production, fine dining cuisine, and catering environments.
Proven supervisory and team management skills with a focus on leadership development.
Strong background in banquet experience and dietary department procedures.
Excellent knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling procedures.
Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Familiarity with food service management systems and restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead shift management efforts while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service.
