Aggregate Trades is seeking a high-performing Regional HVAC/R Service Operations Manager to lead, scale, and optimize commercial HVAC and Refrigeration service operations throughout the Southeast region.
This is not a dispatcher role. This is not a maintenance manager position.
This is an operational leadership opportunity for a proven professional who can manage technicians, drive profitability, develop customer relationships, improve service delivery, and build a scalable service organization supporting major retail, grocery, and commercial customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for technician leadership, customer satisfaction, service growth, operational excellence, and departmental financial performance. This position reports directly to executive leadership and will play a key role in the continued expansion of Aggregate Trades' national HVAC/R and refrigeration service platform.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional HVAC/R Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all service operations within the assigned territory, including HVAC service, commercial refrigeration service, emergency response, preventive maintenance programs, technician development, customer account management, fleet and inventory oversight, operational performance, service sales growth, and department profitability.
This position will manage a growing team of technicians, subcontractors, coordinators, and vendor partners while ensuring service excellence across multiple states.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Operations Leadership
· Lead daily HVAC/R and refrigeration service operations.
· Manage service coordinators, dispatchers, technicians, and subcontractors.
· Ensure timely response to service requests and emergency calls.
· Monitor workload balancing and technician scheduling.
· Develop scalable service delivery processes.
· Support national account programs and regional customers.
Financial & P&L Accountability
· Manage departmental revenue and profitability.
· Drive service gross margin improvement.
· Monitor labor utilization and technician efficiency.
· Review and approve service proposals and repair quotes.
· Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting.
· Track departmental KPIs and performance metrics.
Customer Relationship Management
· Serve as senior escalation point for key customer accounts.
· Conduct customer reviews and performance meetings.
· Support contract renewals and maintenance agreement growth.
· Identify capital replacement opportunities.
· Develop long-term customer relationships.
Refrigeration & Technical Leadership
· Provide technical support for complex refrigeration and HVAC issues.
· Support commissioning and startup activities.
· Assist with troubleshooting advanced refrigeration systems.
· Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and industry standards.
· Support EMS and controls integration projects.
Team Development
· Recruit, hire, train, and retain technicians.
· Conduct performance evaluations.
· Develop career progression plans.
· Mentor emerging field leaders.
· Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
· Enforce company safety policies.
· Maintain OSHA compliance.
· Ensure EPA refrigerant compliance.
· Conduct safety meetings and audits.
· Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Fleet, Equipment & Inventory Management
· Manage company vehicles and fleet performance.
· Oversee tool inventories and equipment assignments.
· Monitor refrigerant inventory and recovery procedures.
· Ensure proper asset utilization and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years commercial HVAC/R experience.
· 5+ years service management experience.
· Experience managing multi-state service operations.
· Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems.
· Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration systems.
· Experience managing technicians and subcontractors.
· Valid driver's license.
· Ability to travel as required.
Preferred
· Supermarket refrigeration experience.
· Retail refrigeration experience.
· National account experience.
· EMS/BMS controls experience.
· EPA Universal Certification.
· OSHA 30 Certification.
· Monday.com, NetSuite, OfficeTrax, or similar platform experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

· Base Salary: $80,000 - $110,000
