Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to success! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will inspire staff, streamline processes, and drive the restaurant’s growth. Duties

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety standards
Oversee inventory control, food handling, and food production to minimize waste and ensure quality standards are met
Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, supervising team performance, and ensuring smooth service flow
Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety protocols in all areas of food service and kitchen management
Contribute to budgeting efforts by monitoring costs related to food, labor, and supplies
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members for continuous improvement
Assist with catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to diversify revenue streams

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS for efficient transaction processing
Demonstrated supervising experience with team management, training & development skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations across the food industry
Excellent customer service skills with a hospitality-focused mindset
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cash handling procedures confidently
Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices
Previous hotel or fine dining experience is a plus but not required; casual dining or catering experience is valued too
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in shift management and operational tasks
