DJ Assistant (Training Program) – Weddings & Events
Pay: Starting at $100 per event
Advancement Opportunity: Lead DJs earn up to $500+ per event
Schedule: Fridays and weekends required
Do you love music, enjoy working with people, and want to learn what it takes to become a professional wedding and event DJ?
Anomaly DJ & Photo is looking for motivated individuals to join our DJ Assistant Training Program. This is not a position where you'll immediately be handed a microphone and run events on your own. Instead, you'll work alongside experienced DJs, learn the business from the ground up, and develop the skills needed to eventually become a Lead DJ.
We're looking for people who understand that becoming a great DJ takes time, effort, and commitment. The right candidate sees this as an opportunity to learn a valuable skill and build toward a higher-paying role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting Lead DJs at weddings, parties, and corporate events
- Loading, transporting, setting up, and tearing down equipment
- Learning event flow, crowd interaction, and client service
- Supporting event coordination throughout the night
- Observing and learning DJ performance techniques
- Assisting with announcements and guest requests as your training progresses
- Representing the company professionally at all times
What We're Looking For
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to take feedback and continuously improve
Compensation & Growth Path
DJ Assistants start at $100 per event while learning the fundamentals of the business.
Successful assistants who demonstrate professionalism, reliability, strong people skills, and a commitment to learning can advance through our training program and eventually become Lead DJs, earning up to $500+ per event.

This is a training role, not an instant path to becoming a Lead DJ.
We invest significant time into teaching our assistants how to handle equipment, manage events, interact with clients, make announcements, read crowds, and perform at a professional level. Advancement is earned through consistency, effort, and experience.
