About Us:
Bladder & Bowel Institute (BBI) is a leading provider of advanced therapies for bladder and bowel control problems. We are committed to delivering the highest quality patient care in a supportive and dynamic environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) at BBI will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care across a range of pre-, intra-, and post-operative responsibilities. The RN will also handle essential administrative duties to ensure seamless patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Admissions/Pre-Op:
Conduct pre-operative assessments, including patient interviews and health history reviews.
Prepare patients for procedures, including IV insertions, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
Collaborate with the surgical team to review and implement patient care plans.
Operating Room Circulation:
Assist with setting up the operating room and maintaining a sterile environment.
Act as a circulating nurse during procedures, ensuring availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
Monitor patient conditions during surgery and communicate updates to the surgical team.
Recovery:
Monitor post-operative patients in the recovery area, assessing their response to surgery and anesthesia.
Manage pain control and ensure patient comfort through necessary interventions.
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain and prepare medical charts, document medical histories, procedures, and recovery progress.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Complete daily maintenance logs and quarterly reports.

Qualifications:

Current Texas or compact RN license.
BLS/ACLS certification required.
Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in an operating room or surgical setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in using electronic medical records and medical software.
Capable of working flexible hours and handling long periods of standing and movement.
Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment as needed.
