About the Role
B&B Electric primarily performs residential service and repair, with occasional light commercial service work.
Typical calls may include troubleshooting, outlets not working, GFCI issues, breaker problems, lighting repairs, EV charger work, smoke detector work, panel related repairs, electrical safety inspections, and other service work.
Compensation
Base pay: $30 to $40 per hour based on license, experience, troubleshooting ability, and ability to run calls independently
Performance bonuses available
Bonus opportunities may include collected revenue, approved add on work, 5 star reviews, and PowerCare Club memberships

Primary Responsibilities
Run residential service calls independently
Diagnose electrical issues and explain findings clearly to customers
Present repair and upgrade options using company pricing
Obtain customer approval before starting work
Complete safe, clean, professional electrical repairs
Follow NEC, code, TDLR, and company standards
Perform electrical safety inspections when needed
Take proper before and after photos
Complete job notes, invoices, and documentation using company technology
Collect payment or properly document payment status
Maintain a clean service truck and organized work area
Handle occasional light commercial troubleshooting when assigned
Support helpers or apprentices on larger jobs when needed
Requirements
Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license preferred
Current Texas Residential Wireman license strongly considered
Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of residential service troubleshooting experience preferred
Must be able to run residential service calls independently
Strong troubleshooting skills
Comfortable communicating with homeowners and explaining repair options
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Able to pass background check and drug screening
Comfortable using an iPhone or iPad for photos, notes, estimates, and invoices
Comfortable working in attics, garages, panels, ladders, and Texas heat
Able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation
Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
Light commercial service experience is a plus
