Job: Apprenticeship Program Manager
Location: Wisconsin (regional travel required)
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | In Office

Travel: Up to 50% within assigned region, most trips are day trips

Lead the Future of Skilled Trades

Are you someone who enjoys working directly with people, and taking ownership of a program from the ground up? Join our mission to shape the next generation of skilled trades professionals. We’re looking for a driven, organized, and relationship-focused Apprenticeship Program Manager to lead program operations across a designated region in Wisconsin.

What You’ll Do

Own your region. Manage and grow an apprenticeship program for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trade apprentices in your assigned territory.
Command the room during presentations, meetings, and orientations — you're seen as the go-to expert for apprenticeship guidance, standards, and resources in your region.
Be in the field. Kick off classes, meet with instructors and apprentices, coordinate book distribution, and keep committees running smoothly.
Build strong relationships. Serve as the main contact for employers, instructors, apprentices, and trade committees.
Coach and support. Conduct one-on-one check-ins with apprentices and help them stay on track in their career development.
Take pride in the process. Review, track, and follow up on program progress while maintaining compliance with Wisconsin apprenticeship standards.

What You Bring to the Table

Proven ability to manage people and logistics independently.
Confidence communicating with professionals at all levels — from jobsite contractors to tech college instructors and state agency reps.
Tech-savvy: comfortable with email, Microsoft Office, and file management.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. (books, materials) and navigate classrooms and field sites.
A strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and pride in quality work.
Comfortable traveling within Wisconsin ~50% of the time (most trips are day trips, and fleet vehicles are frequently utilized for this purpose).

✅ Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities, follow-ups, and moving parts across programs.

✅ A strong communicator, both written and verbal — able to speak clearly with apprentices, employers, instructors, and state representatives.

✅ Comfortable leading presentations and meetings, offering guidance with confidence and professionalism.

✅ Experienced in relationship-building with diverse stakeholders, especially in education, trades, or workforce development.

✅ Someone who takes initiative and works independently, managing time, schedules, and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

✅ Solution-oriented and resourceful, with good judgement in decision making.
