Job Summary

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sushi using traditional techniques, ensuring each piece meets high standards of quality and presentation.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, food safety sanitizing procedures, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Manage inventory control and food handling to minimize waste and ensure freshness of ingredients.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, plating, and safety protocols while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Assist in menu planning and catering events to showcase sushi specialties while accommodating dietary restrictions.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen activities.
Support shift management by coordinating tasks efficiently to ensure timely service during busy hours.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef with a strong background in fine dining settings and restaurant management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Extensive knowledge of food production, food safety sanitizing procedures, and kitchen management best practices.
Familiarity with banquet service, catering, and inventory management within the food industry.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and cost control strategies.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing teams as a chef and overseeing shift operations.
Passion for hospitality, serving guests with professionalism while maintaining high standards of food handling and safety.
