Full Job Description

Job Summary
Great Lakes Concrete & Paving is seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to join our team. We need skilled professionals with At least 2-5+ years of experience in Concrete finishing for commercial and residential projects. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a crucial role in shaping and finishing concrete surfaces such as roads, sidewalks, and curbs. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, rebar installation, blueprint reading, and carpentry will be essential for successful project completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and leveling the area.
Operate concrete equipment necessary pouring concrete.
Pour, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools.
Perform site preparation, form setting, concrete finishing, cutting, and finishing to specifications.
Spread, level, and smooth concrete using a rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or powered screed, or float.
Apply caulking, stucco, or other finishing materials as required.
Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials safely on-site.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Set forms that hold the concrete in place.

Qualifications

2-5+ years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to set forms that hold the concrete together.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties.
Familiarity with safety protocols in construction environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Availability to work 40-50+ hours per week.
Reliable transportation.
CDL preferred

Benefits

Full-time, long-term position with a starting hourly rate based on experience ($28/hr. - $40/hr.) with paid overtime.
