Full Job Description

>Under minimal supervision, operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) and manual machinery to fabricate raw materials, casting, and forgings into finish parts. TYPICAL DUTIES (Include the following, however, other duties may apply.) Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner Maintains a clean and orderly workspace* Immediately notifies Lead or Management to production deficiencies or work stoppages * Proper and accurate use of time clock * Proper and accurate use of Epicor MRP system Proper and accurate use of Job Traveler Paperwork Performs daily inspection of machine coolant level and necessary refill Empties chip bins as required Follows inspection plans and Statistical Process Control documentation* Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet dimensional tolerance requirements Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery Understands tool wear concepts and how to change inserts. Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with minimal supervision or interjection from leads. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional, machining and warehouse environment. The use of safety glasses and hearing protection are required in specific areas of the facility. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and comprehend mechanical attributes of the machining process. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a F/T hourly position 6:00-4:30. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, or as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Two years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
