What You Should Know About the Volunteer Coordinator Role:

This is a FT position at our Ohio's Hospice Troy location, Springfield and Urbana territories as well.
Schedule will be M-F 8a-5p with an occasional weekend
We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed

Volunteer Coordinator Job Summary:

Performs administrative support duties specific to office assigned. Organizes data received for accurate entry and efficient reporting in a timely manner. Recruits, trains, and retains volunteers to support the mission of Ohio’s Hospice.

Volunteer Coordinator Essential Duties:

Maintains daily volunteer records and volunteer data in Volgistics.
Manages the onboarding process for prospective volunteers.
Coordinates referrals and inquiries regarding becoming a hospice volunteer.
Strong organizational skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills
Manages volunteers annual renewal requirements to maintain compliance.
Fills volunteer requests for patients in a timely manner as evidenced by completed tasks in the Electronic Medical Records to serve the needs of patients and families.

Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and communicate effectively.
Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather
Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
