DC Construction Associates of Central Florida LLC was established in 2019 as an expansion of DC Construction Associates, Inc., a commercial general contractor founded in 2005. Serving clients throughout Central Florida and Georgia, we provide design-build, construction management, general contracting, value engineering, and pre-construction services across a variety of commercial sectors.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, including multi-story developments. This is a required qualification and candidates without relevant commercial ground-up and multi-story project management experience will not be considered.
This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Preconstruction
- Manage preconstruction planning, budgeting, and project setup
- Develop and maintain project schedules and construction timelines
- Coordinate procurement activities and long-lead material deliveries
- Review project documents, specifications, and shop drawings
Project Management & Execution
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously
- Provide oversight and support to field Superintendents throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and compliance with contract requirements
- Identify and resolve design issues, constructability concerns, and project challenges
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and team members
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets and cost controls
- Review, negotiate, and process subcontractor invoices and pay applications
- Prepare and submit monthly owner billings
- Evaluate, price, and manage change orders
- Assist with claim resolution and contract administration as needed
Quality, Safety & Closeout
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards and client expectations
- Support jobsite safety initiatives and loss prevention efforts
- Coordinate inspections and regulatory requirements
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final completion activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Required: Ground-up commercial construction experience, including multi-story projects
- Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and contract administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our Daytona Beach office. Regular attendance in the office is required, along with frequent visits to active jobsites throughout Central and North Florida. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
