Overview

MCK CPAs & Advisors is seeking a qualified, full-time Secretary to join our term in our Monticello, Illinois office.

This position plays a key role in supporting daily office operations and providing exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities include preparing and typing correspondence, assembling client packages, greeting clients and assisting clients, answering and directing phone calls, and supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the office.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Previous administrative or secretarial experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.

Responsibilities

Manage front desk operations, greeting clients and directing them appropriately.
Operate multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls efficiently, transferring or taking messages as needed.
Perform data entry, proofreading, and document management to ensure accuracy in all correspondence and reports.
Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars.
Handle general office duties such as supply inventory and maintain cleanliness of the reception area.
Perform clerical tasks such as organizing documents in filing systems and digital records to streamline office workflows.

Skills

Proven experience in office or administrative roles with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel) applications.
Strong typing skills with high accuracy; attention to detail is essential for proofreading and data entry tasks.
Exceptional phone etiquette and experience managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism.
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
