Job Summary
BHI Coatings is seeking a motivated Industrial Blasting & Painting Helper to join our growing team. This position assists experienced blasters and painters with industrial coating projects in refineries, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, water treatment plants, and other industrial facilities throughout Texas and Louisiana.

Responsibilities
- Assist with abrasive blasting and industrial painting projects.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, grinding, and power tool cleaning.
- Mix and prepare industrial coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of blasting and painting equipment.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials.
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Assist with containment setup and breakdown.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a DISA background check and DISA drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to obtain and maintain site access at industrial facilities.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around industrial equipment.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Preferred
- Previous industrial blasting, painting, coatings, construction, or general labor experience.
- Current TWIC Card (or ability to obtain one).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, or other industrial facilities.

Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and industrial structures.
- Stand, kneel, bend, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Wear respirators, protective clothing, and other required PPE.

Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Overtime available
- Weekends as needed
- Travel required
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
