Full Job Description

Overview:
SIGN ON BONUS $500 OFFERED*. SEEKING EXPERIENCED F/T CANDIDATE FOR OUR BOUTIQUE ORAL MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY PRACTICE, WITH AT LEAST 2 YR OMFS EXPERIENCE, MUST HAVE FORMAL EDUCATION IN DENTAL ASSISTING AND/OR SURGICAL TECH/NURSING, PREFERRABLY BOTH. POSITION IS BOTH OFFICE AND HOSPITAL BASED. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF IN OFFICE AND HOSPITAL BASED OMFS PROCEDURES, ANESTHESIA ASSISTING (DAANCE), EMR, CUSTOMER SERVICE. BILINGUAL HELPFUL. SURGICAL SCHEDULING. KNOWLEDGE OF HOSPITAL PROTOCOLS, CROSS TRAINING IN FRONT DESK, STRONG COMPUTER PC KNOWLEDGE. HOURLY SALARY AND BENEFITS BASED ON EXPERIENCE. RESUME/PHOTO/REFERENCES REQUIRED.'

Duties:
- Assist surgeon during surgical procedures and all office visits
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms with necessary equipment and instruments
- Maintain a clean/sterile field during surgerY
- Handle and pass instruments to surgeons as needed
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and anesthesia
- Clean and sterilize instruments / equipment after each surgery
- Document patient information accurately

-review pre and postoperative patient instructions

-maintain inventory

Skills:
Required Skills:
- Windows computer literate

-BLS/CPR/ACLS CERTIFICATION

-AAOMS Anesthesia Program (DAANCE)

-phone etiquette and interpersonal communication
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in use of CBCT and INTRAORAL SCANNER
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Strong anatomy knowledge

-STRONG SURGICAL PROCEDURE KNOWLEDGE
