Full Job Description

Position Summary

Vanguard Plastic Surgery is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. This is a clinic-based position focused on providing comprehensive outpatient care to patients throughout their treatment journey. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with patients, delivering exceptional clinical care, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role is primarily office-based and does not require surgical assisting. As the practice continues to grow, there may be opportunities to expand into the surgical setting for candidates who are interested.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
Develop, implement, and manage individualized patient treatment plans under the supervision of the physician.
Provide new patient consultations and follow-up care.
Conduct pre-operative and post-operative office visits.
Perform in-office procedures within the scope of practice.
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and imaging.
Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, medications, and recovery expectations.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Respond to patient questions and assist with ongoing clinical management.
Maintain compliance with all practice policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Current Florida licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in good standing.
Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain after hire).
Current BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS are preferred but may be obtained after hire.
Prior experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, family medicine, urgent care, orthopedics, or another outpatient specialty is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
